Bastille Day is Monday/14 July 2025 and the Valley of the Moon Petanque Club will be hosting a small tournament in Depot Park to celebrate. If you are interested in playing, please arrive before 10:00am to sign up.
Bastille Day commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in Paris in 1789 by revolutionaries; this would become the flash point of the French Revolution which in turn led to the eventual establishment of a democratic government. Also known as French National Day, Bastille Day celebrations occur around the world. SSCA and the Chambolle-Musigny Sister City Committee are proud to celebrate this day in Sonoma. Vive la France!
