An article in the July/2025 issue of National Geographic magazine highlighted the everyday life of the people of Karacsonyfalva, a village located in the valley of the Homorod River in rural central Romania. Eighty-five percent of the inhabitants in this region speak Hungarian and are descendants of ethnic Hungarians who came to the area at least 1000 years ago.
