Dear friends,
On this Christmas Eve, we take a mental look at the passing year.
It was very difficult, there were a lot of heavy losses. For three hundred and fourth days, Ukraine has been fighting for its right to sovereignty and freedom with weapons in hand.
However, this year passed under the sign of solidarity and true friendship.
We in Ukraine are sincerely grateful that we have such faithful friends as you – our friends and brothers. Thanks to your support and help, we persevered in our struggle and we are confident of our victory.
Thank God, at the end of every year there is a magical holiday, Christmas, which gives hope. Let hope and faith never leave us, like love and wisdom.
On behalf of our Friendship Association of the city of Kaniv, we wish you, all our friends and brothers from Sonoma, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Peace, happiness, excellent health and well-being!

Christmas Star
In a cold season, in a place more accustomed to heat,
than to the cold, to the flat surface more than to the mountain,
The baby was born in a cave to save the world;
sweep as soon as the desert can winter revenge.
Everything seemed huge to him: Mother’s breasts, yellow steam
from the nostrils of an ox, the magi – Balthasar, Caspar,
Melchior; their gifts dragged in here.
He was just a dot. And the point was the Star.
Attentively, without blinking, through rare clouds,
on a Child lying in a manger from afar,
from the depths of the universe, from its other end,
The star looked into the cave. And that was the look of the Father.
