The Sonoma-Kaniv Sister City Committee invites you to a special viewing of the award-winning film “20 Days in Mariupol” on Wednesday, August 16th at the Sebastiani Theater in downtown Sonoma. Ukrainian filmmaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Mstyslav Chernov offers a window into the practices of conflict-zone reporters and an unflinching account of the 20 days he and colleagues spent covering the invasion of Mariupol. Tickets are $35.00/each and you may purchase them un advance online on at the door. Proceeds will support the continuing relief efforts in our sister city of Kaniv, and Anatoly Leontyev, President of the Kaniv/Ukraine Friendship Society, will be on hand to give us an update of what is happening in Kaniv.
