Sonoma Sister Cities Association is actively seeking candidates to fill the position of Secretary. This position is vital for keeping the association running smoothly so that it can provide the administrative support to each of our sister city committees and local programs. Secretary Job Description
The SSCA Secretary is responsible for the following:
- SSCA Bylaws – secretary needs to know the bylaws to be sure meetings and other activities of the association are within those bylaws
- Preparation of Minutes
- Minutes need to be distributed to Board within 14 days of meeting
- Record of minutes kept electronically in shared drive or wherever records are to be kept
- Record keeping – Secretary responsible for keeping all records including: Agendas, minutes, Committee reports, treasurer reports, membership reports and any other information generated by the Board.
- Donations – Secretary sends out thank you letters for donations received by the SSCA. Each Committee is responsible for thank you notices for their own committee.
