The Tokaj Committee is happy to announce our intern for 2026, Gabe Lanusse. Gabe will be working in Tokaj at Hétszölö Winery. We are excited because Gabe is a native Sonoman, born and raised in our beautiful town and the perfect candidate to represent us. This will  further the goal and mission of Sonoma Sister Cities and Sister Cities International of citizen diplomacy. Graduating from Sonoma Valley High School in 2019, completing the Agricultural Program curriculum, Gabe has been working at various wineries. Currently he is at Furthermore Wines in Sebastopol. Gabe has experience in cellar management, tasting room operations as well as production support. We think he will make a valuable addition to the Hétszölö team and at the same time will learn much from the experience.

Gabe has expressed interest in “gaining some international experience in Tokaj”, learning how winemaking is approached outside of California. He states, “Hungarian wine has such a long history and I’m curious to learn how tradition, local grape varieties, and regional techniques shape the wines”.

We will look forward to his return when he can share his new learned knowledge and experiences with our community. This Internship Program is an ideal way to do just that.
