The Sonoma-Greve in Chianti Sister City Committee is proud to present a lecture by Alexandra Lawrence, a specialized private tour guide in Florence, Italy and a university instructor at several American and British universities.  Alexandra’s lecture entitled, “Rethinking Women: A Look at Female Painters and Poets in Renaissance Italy”, will be held on Wednesday, August 16 at 6:00 pm in Stone Hall of Vintage House Senior Center, 264 First Street East, Sonoma.

A suggested donation of $10 will be accepted at the door. Refreshments will be served.

Alexandra graduated from Sonoma Valley High School and currently resides in Florence with her husband and 8-year-old son.

The Sonoma-Greve in Chianti sister city partnership was signed on August 22, 1983. As a young girl, Alexandra remembers the cultural activities and student exchanges. She now visits Greve in Chianti, approximately 20 miles south of Florence and often leads tours of the city.

The Sonoma-Greve Sister City Committee operates under the auspices of the Sonoma Sister Cities Association (SSCA), a registered nonprofit organization (SSCA federal tax identification #68-0108056).
