SSCA President Stephanie Fine and Sonoma-Kaniv Committee Chair Kaeti Bailie announced that the Ambulance gifted to the people of Kaniv from the City of Sonoma left for Ukraine at 1:00 p.m. on July 27th.  Before leaving, the Sonoma Fire Department expertly packed it full of medical supplies (in 19 minutes flat!) thanks to the donations of the Sonoma community.  U.S.  Ambulances for Ukraine has arranged the trip: the Ambulance will travel by train from Stockton to Baltimore MD, and then get transported to Poland, along with other emergency vehicles.  The Ambulance is expected to arrive in Ukraine in late August, where it will join at least 89 other emergency or transport vehicles sent over from the U.S.  SSCA and the City of Sonoma are grateful to all who donated and supported this important mission.  Stay tuned for updates on the Ambulance as they become available.
