To the Penglai Committee,
Congratulations to all of you for planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating and implementing the myriad activities which made this Chinese New Year event extraordinary by any measure. Several people told me how much they enjoyed it. The logistics and pacing of everything worked very well. As a fundraiser, I have a hunch that you reached your mark. This event certainly is one of our most worthy Committee activities and sets the bar high for the other committees. Of course it couldn’t be done without the generosity and hospitality of the Clines, the tireless leadership of Peggy Phelan, the able volunteers, and the skillful attention of Sherri to diplomatic matters noted and appreciated by the Ambassador.
