The game will be held on Sunday, August 13 at 6:00 pm at People’s Home Equity Ballpark at Arnold Field, 180 First Street West. Tickets are $14 each with reserved seating in the Gus the Bus Garden along the third base line. Tickets may be purchased by contacting Mike Short at (707) 227-7345 or sonomawineguy@yahoo.com. The last day to buy tickets is August 9th.
Greve Chair Diana Short is extending the following pre-game invitation: “In true Italian style, members and friends will share in a potluck dinner at Depot Park at 4:00 pm. If you are interested in joining in the fun, please email greve@sonomasistercitiesassociation.org so we can have a place for you at the table.”
Another highlight of the game is that the hosting organization gets to throw out the first pitch. Committee member Pamela Wittig has stepped up to the challenge. Pamela is no stranger to baseball. Her son, Joe Wittig, was All-Empire Player of the Year and 1st Team All-State in California in 2008. Joe currently plays for the Prague Eagles in the Czech Republic. Come cheer on Pamela and our home team!
The Stompers mascot, Rawhide, will visit our section and pose for photos. That is sure to be a highlight for the children in attendance. Join the fun!
