On Friday, August 11, Alexandra Lawrence made a guest appearance on the KSVY Morning Show.  With Alexandra was Mike Short, representing the Sonoma-Greve Committee.   The Morning Show hosts, Takeshi Lewis and Christa Granton gave them both a warm welcome and the discussion focused first on Alexandra’s upcoming lecture “Rethinking Women: A Look at Female Painters and Poets in Renaissance Italy”.  For more on this Sonoma-Greve Committee event, click here.  A Sonoma native and now resident of Florence, Alexandra is a university professor who teaches classes in art history and Italian language.  Her upcoming presentation highlights the latest research and discoveries about the contributions made by women artists during a time period traditionally represented by the achievements of men.

The talk then turned to what the Sonoma-Greve Committee is, and how it’s a member committee of the Sonoma Sister Cities Association.   Mike also reminded the audience that the 34th anniversary of the Sonoma-Greve relationship is being celebrated on Tuesday, August 22nd at the Sonoma Farmer’s Market.  Look for the Italian flags on the Plaza and stop by to say hello.
