Chinese Laborers in Sonoma Researched by Alta Mira Students
On May 6, 2019, Jack Ding, and Penny and Mark Holbrook [from Penglai Committee] went to Altimira Middle School to listen to the presentation by Cathleen Morrison’s Special Needs class on their research on Chinese laborers in 1800’s Sonoma. It was amazing!
Their work relates to our Wine Country Chinese Legacy Project, building a ting in Depot Park to commemorate those workers who helped start our wine industry.
