Dear Sonoma-Tokaj Sister City Association,
We are sadly watching the fires in California reaching and destructing Sonoma County and homes of Sonoma people. Here in Hungary, it is hard to even imagine a huge catastrophy like this. We feel solidar with the inhabitant, who lost their homes, grapes, farms, or even have to breathe the smoke of the fires. Our hearts were acheing to see the videos about the beatiful and prosperous countryside becoming ashes. We can only hope that the city of Sonoma has not got victims of the fire.
We gladly saw that it started to rain in Sonoma, which is good news from the point of view of the fire.
American people have always been famous for being strong and enduring. You can stand up in every circuimstances. This is true for California, we are convinced it is true for Sonoma! We wish you can “bandage your wounds” the sooner and repair the damage.
